This weekend was baptism weekend at Granger Community Church and that means a whirlwind of activity. We were blessed to have 20+ men from the South Bend Community Reentry Center attend our services. I lead a prison ministry at the center, so I was especially excited to have the guys at the Granger Commons with us. We worshiped together and some of the men even took a huge public step and were baptized. The church services we have each Sunday at the reentry center are a poor reflection of the GCC services so it was very cool to see the guys experience their parent-church in real life for the first time.
In all the excitement I snapped a few pictures with my phone of some of the guys getting dunked.
After the service our pastor, Mark Beeson, took a moment to meet the men and take a quick photo with some of them. He blogged about the experience here.
